Not
Repairable

Certain issues due to manufacturer defects are not able to be repaired. Other issues that we'll not take in for repair are broken PCBs.

PS3 Yellow Light of Death

This issue is due to a manufacturing defect in early revisions of the PS3 GPU and is not repairable. The problem is not with capacitors; it stems from improper internal heat dissipation in the GPU that results in micro-cracks forming in the solder. Re-balling is a temporary solution at best.

Not
Suitable for Retrobright

Retrobrighting is the chemical processes of removing yellowing from plastics. This is corrosive and will oxidize any metals there in. Therefore, any plastic components that has metal imbedded will not go through this process.

Plates with embedded Metals

The metals will be corroded by the process. Ex. SNES back plate.

Ports with embedded metals

The metals will be corroded by the process. Ex. SNES and Sega Genesis / Master System controller ports
