The Progression
Quick survey before updates!
Whether you've been around a while or brand new to the scene, you know I'm always down on feedback and have you involved in the decisions to bring the shop forward.
If you'd like to voice your opinions on things, below is a link to the survey. The next thing is replacement parts for the next couple months! With so many consoles and parts, I'd like to see what your needs are along with a few other things.

NanoFlowX
I got NanoFlowX goodness!! In time as people would want to leverage the conformal coating to protect their PCBs against the evils that kill them, I'll continue to get more of the product to be able to apply it to larger boards. It's no secret that it's very expensive and I"ll need to set up a seperate reserve to build up to get more.
Becoming Robust
We're all feeling the chip shortage with basic component manufacturers steer towards fueling the technocratic oroborus that is AI and abondon the everyday consumer while shipping logistics seem to never catch a break.
I've completed the first set of modular board designs to make my new mods resistant to shortages without significant cost implecations in terms of making the board while the cost of components vary per the module. As of right now, I have two modules each for a PD sink controller and buck converter.
With the modular designs, the NES Front Loader and PS2 mods will no longer have to wait 'till next February in order for preorders! There will be notes in the listings to denote the differences in PD sink controllers from what would be made available. For the time being, the avialablitiy for a system status LED being limited to a some sink controllers from Diodes Inc.; not to me mixed up with a generic LED to indicate if there's power going through VBUS. The other pro is fast tracking making other mods thanks to the modules.
Thanks to the focus on August, no longer will we need to wait 'till February 2027 after 2 prior delays on parts! The boards have been ordered and have been shipped. I should have something to test in the next week or so.
Here's a bit during the prototyping so you can see vision; not what was finalized. A simple idea that works out well to minimize waste made from boards that wouldn't otherwise have avialable components.

The Next Move
I ended up getting a Qidi Q2C FDM printer with the box for the next phase in items. If you've read anything on YT or Discord, you know that everything started fine, but TWO MONTHS in and it basically basically became useless after only 2 kilos of filament. Long story short the extruder went bad and then the tubing for bay 2 of the box crapped out; oh - and after fixing bay 2 on the box, it happened again with the replacement tubing almost immediately. At least the printer is fine with a manual feed after replacing the extruder.
Don't get a FDM printer that doesn't have a full metal extruder!!
With the printer, I have the avenue to make replacement parts. There's an array of consoles and parts for them. Parts will be made with PCTG for better durability and water resistance than ABS - no hydroscopic PLA here.
Biting more than what I could chew
I had to drop off custom buttons as much as I hate to admit it, and don't know when I'll revisit it as that requires more time than I can invest in to get some nice quality stuff out.
In the same vein, chances are I'll also put a hold on the electronic recycling service for next year. There's other aspects to consider now as well in regards to LiPoly batteries as I'm sure I'm bound to recieve them as well. A maximum of 2 batteries are allowed or single battery with 8 cells via USPS ground is allowed. If you as a sender would send me something you would have to adhere to USPS and UPS shipping policies regarding those batteries as there are isntances where prior approval is required by the shipping company. I haven't seen things arise from the $7.50 USPS surcharge as of yet that went to affect a few months ago so it may not apply to our handhelds so much; but always check with your local office.
Multi-item Discounts
It's something that's been asked a few times and something I've constantly thought about; and it's always been tough to tell people no. Currently being break-even makes it difficult as then things would slide negatively.
However, I do understand that a little something would benefit my fellow modders and those who'd like to do things in bulk. Starting on September 1st 2026, I'll begin a 10% discount on mods here and on Ebay for quantities of 10 or more. It's not much, but I hope it's appreciated.
eBay customers will need to message me on eBay so that I can make a custom listing for their order. No getting around that one fellas.
Thank you!
Thanks for making it this far and for your continued support. I appreciate each and every one of you and hope you're having an awesome day!
