Huge Shop Updates!

There's a lot to cover and people have places to be so here's the deal on what's been going on!

Mod Updates

The USB-C AV mod for the Nintendo Famicom is available! It's the first of custom USB-C mods being made. Hand assembled my me and hope you'll get good use out of it. There are updates planned out for a future revision to easily support the Luma code mod.

The DS family line of handhelds will be getting USB-C mods with current protection and should be available this summer. I will be assembling these individually as well.

You've voted between Discord and BlueSky that the FAT PS2 will be the next console to get a custom USB-C mod in a 4:1 victory over the Saturn; with no votes for the others. Significant progress has been done since the poll closing: Parts have been ordered, Schematic diagram is done, and board layouts are in the works.

International Shipping

This is how international shipping for items will rollout. Firstly, context - it's about VATs. If a platform I use doesn't remit VATs then I will not ship. I cannot afford the costs of the registration and then filing of VATs / GSTs at this time for a few sales here and there. While that sucks, that's the reality and there will not be exemptions made and will not subject myself nor the business to legal implications. The main shop site will NOT support international shipping outside the US and Canada. Repair services will be limited to the US at this time. That also in mind, other inventory on the main site that is not on the Etsy front will be introduced into Etsy.

• Platform for International Customers: Etsy

• New Locations: Australia, New Zealand, and Switzerland. The Norway, Singapore, UK, and EU will be on this list as well provided buyers are conscious on total charge limit that do not exceed certain amounts set by Etsy so they can remit the taxes; otherwise orders that will exceed those limits will be cancelled and refunded.

• Shipping costs: TBD. I need to review what the cost will be for each area will be per carrier

• When: It'll be announced when it's time. I'm aiming for end of Q2 '25 - early Q3 '25

• Shipping provider: USPS

• Other areas: More platform research needed

• Any shipping restrictions USPS has on the listed areas above will be excluded

All policies will be updated once I've completed everything that's required before the shipping to the wider world.

Policy Updates

There have been updates to clarify language used in the Terms and Conditions as well as Refund policies

What was exactly updated?

• Section 4 of the Terms and Conditions: Product Disclaimers and Warranties, has been updated with what is covered, what is not covered, void conditions, and responsible for shipping cost burden.

Wider Economic Impacts

It's been in the news, and everyone's been feeling the pressures with myself and the shop being no different. To preemptively combat some of the incoming price changes towards components and materials for existing products and services, I've started to amount inventory where I can and limit price increases. Current products sold and services rendered, will not face increases at this time, but there will be adjustments which should be expected by Q3.

It has been rough and I've been doing my best in the Discord to keep everyone up to date with what's been going on in a digestible manner; how the shop is being impacted, and how / what to expect for things impacted outside my shop. Awareness and understanding is key while current economics are as fluid as the tide of the ocean.

I expect to make further changes out of necessity as things continue to unfold. As always, I'm a one-man shop with zero help on any aspects. You're patients and support is always greatly appreciated, and I will always maintain to be as transparent as possible and deliver the best experience with my products and services.
