The time has finally come for what so many of you have asked me about, BUT before that, a few other updates.

USB-C Mod Updates

Revision 2 of the proto boards for the PS2 USB-C mods have been ordered; new parts to be ordered shortly. The boards have been redesigned to be more efficient with synchronized MOSFET switching and use a more available USB-C trigger. With the changes also came production cost reduction - HORRAY! The mod may become available as early a early August 2025, but it all depends on how testing goes.
New designs for all things Nintendo DS have been done. 3DS and 2DS revisions are pending new boards while others are good to go. The release will be pending installation videos as well as testing what kind of abuse I can put them through with fully working units to see if I can purposefully pop fuses with the current protection set in place. This is currently in progress
A USB-C mod for the WiiU docking station will be made available with the release of the ones for the Nintendo DS - SURPRISE!
The next USB-C vote will take place once the PS2 USB-C mod is released.

Other Products?

There's no question that variety is the spice of life. I'm actively working on making another product line to launch that will be geared to a wider audience. This is separate from custom controller buttons and contact pads I want to do, but those will take longer to do in mass than what I can accomplish with the new idea. The past ideas will be on hold and aiming to have the new item(s) to be available sometime between August and September.

No spoilers on this.

General Site Updates

New links for our social media are up front and center! It used to be only discord was easily seeable, but that's now addressed. These are the only active ones at this time, while I do have some other online profiles around, the below are the only active ones. If you were to ever see something that is related to Renewed Gaming Relics LLC or Gamers Antiquity that is outside the active profiles, do not engage with them.

There's also a new Resources section that will always be under construction as time goes on. You can find things on USB-C protocols, see power consumption load measurements I've done which ties back to the USB-C protocols, and lists of software region locked cartridge games. I will work on adding "How-To's" for written forms of installing mods akin to vides I've done, and other useful things.

More Policy Updates

I told you before that there would be further updates to the boring, yet important, policies. This was to accomplish 2 things. Make things crystal clear and prep for international shipping. Prior language wasn't as clear as it could have been. I like plain English - if a 5 year old can't make heads or tails of it, then it's useless.

If you're one of the many that have supported me by buying anything, I ask that you please leave review. The good, the bad, any ideas, and whatever else. I hold feedback very importantly and improvements have been made to all things based on it, but it's nice to not just get those notes directly to me, but would like to have other see it from yourselves.

If something is bad, then please explain so improvements can be made as possible. I do look at these whether here or on Etsy!

International Shipping!

International is now available - WOOOO! However, it will ONLY be available through my Etsy store page.

Etsy

Do not misunderstand as renewedgmaingrelics.com will always remain the main core page for all things related to the shop and Etsy will only serve as an extension to make things available on a more global level. The only thing that will have no plans to expand further out is the send in services for modifications and repairs. I currently ONLY sell products through renewedgamingrelics.com and on Etsy; any other claims that I sell on other platforms are completely false and should be reported. I will always announce changes including where I offer my goods - just in case others may start posing as myself and offer who-knows-what as I continue expanding.

This solves a number of legal and financial things. Etsy will handle the customs and shipping calculations for you, while taking care of taxation reporting responsibilities for me.

All areas that Etsy offers shipping to will be made available with exception for where USPS explicitly will not deliver to. Destination restrictions through USPS will be reviewed on a quarterly basis and updated as needed. The list of available place is huge - much larger than I thought it'd be! 219 areas across Asia, Australia, Europe, Latin America, North Africa, the Middle East, North America, and Sub-Saharan Africa. Will I be able to keep up as people hopefully spread word?!

Any items purchased through Etsy will follow the shop policies set there without exception.

The downside - I know, but I have mentioned this in the discord on a prior announcement. There ARE and WILL be price differences between the main shop and the Etsy front. This is to cover the fees associated with all of the processing Etsy performs that cannot be currently absorbed otherwise. General mods are up $2 USD with the FMC up $3 USD. While it's a bummer, I hope that you all can understand.
